# What OCE does

Fiscal hosting, shared funds and grant administration.

OCE supports activities that benefit communities and the public. Its work takes three connected forms.

## Hosting collectives

Groups without a separate legal organisation can apply to work within OCE’s hosting framework. Their administrators lead the activities and approve expenses. OCE administers the funds and processes eligible, documented payments.

## Supporting networks

Several initiatives can work within a shared framework while keeping distinct project pages and budgets. Read about [networks and shared structures](/oceurope/what-we-offer/umbrella-organisation.md).

## Administering philanthropic funds

OCE works with philanthropic institutions to administer funds and grants. This includes checking documentation, recording allocations and following the reporting arrangements for each programme. **Regranting** means distributing funding onward to other initiatives.

The [Global Statelessness Fund](/oceurope/the-global-statelessness-fund/the-fund.md) is one example. Each programme has its own purpose and conditions; its existence does not mean that applications are always open.
