We can act as your legal entity, providing you with the tools you need to manage your finances and make a meaningful impact, without the hassle of setting up your own entity. Support for Foundations and Initiatives

OC Europe offers a unique service to foundations by helping them establish and manage philanthropic funds, enabling them to re-grant to initiatives worldwide, across a wide range of sectors. We also assist EU-based initiatives by helping them launch projects, manage their funds, and access the Open Collective platform for financial transparency.

Nonprofit Status

As a Belgian foundation, OC Europe provides hosted initiatives with the opportunity to access funding opportunities from major foundations, including those based in Western countries like the US. Our foundation holds an Equivalency Determination Certificate, which facilitates the donation of grants between US foundations and foreign projects, ensuring smooth cross-border giving. Hosted initiatives can also apply for special grants, benefiting from the advantages of nonprofit status.

Tax-Deductible Donations

OC Europe enables hosted initiatives to receive tax-deductible donations, particularly from US donors, making it easier for them to raise funds from major international sources. This is a key benefit of partnering with our foundation.

Services & Community

In addition to being your legal and financial home, OC Europe offers a range of services to support our community and foster solidarity between initiatives:

• Monthly Community Forums: A chance to ask questions, give feedback, and connect with other initiatives.

• Virtual Cards: Available on a case-by-case basis for certain projects, these cards are linked to your Open Collective balance and can be used for online transactions.

• Networking: Connect with a growing network of hosted initiatives to share experiences, challenges, and opportunities.
