We are a NPO specializing in social and solidarity economy umbrella organisation for collaborative initiatives. We can be your legal entity and provide you with the financial tools you need to make an impact on the world! No bank account required.
Nonprofit Status
OC Europe is a NPO that operates with a Fund at King Baudouin Foundation, meaning hosted initiatives can apply to receive tax-deductible donations.
This arrangement is perfect for charitable projects that want to move fast and reduce setup costs, especially since incorporating an entity and getting an NPO status can take a long time, requires a lot of admin to run, and likely requires hiring an accountant and a lawyer.
Further, hosted initiatives have access to one of the biggest benefits of a NPO status: being able to apply for special grants from foundations. Most major foundations (in Western countries including the US), along with many companies, will only contribute to NPO and their sponsored initiatives. Make sure you take this into account when considering the best fit for your project or community!
Tax Compliance
OC Europe will take care of your initiative's tax filings and compliance requirements.
OC Europe provides donors with receipts for their tax-deductible contributions (if the collective is eligible), and files the Fiche 50 to the Belgian State on behalf of all of our hosted initiatives. We also take care of the annual balance sheet for you.

In addition to being your legal and financial home, OC Europe offers many useful services to its community, and works to connect our initiatives together in solidarity.
