# Request a Grant (for Nonprofits Only)

This feature is **not available to all collectives** and must follow specific conditions:

***

#### Who can use “Request a Grant”?

* **Only projects hosted as Funds** (not standard Collectives)
* The applicant must be a **nonprofit or equivalent structure** (e.g. foundation, ASBL, charity, NGO)
* Private individuals or informal collectives **cannot** use this option

***

#### Requirements for submitting a Grant Request

When a nonprofit uses the “Request a Grant” feature, they must include:

1. **A copy of their legal bylaws** (*statuts*)
2. **A signed letter** officially requesting the grant, outlining:
   * The purpose and objectives of the requested funding
   * How the funds will be used in alignment with the fund’s mission
   * The legal name and contact details of the nonprofit organization
3. **A bank account holder statement of the nonprofit**

> These documents help us assess legal eligibility, ensure compliance with funder requirements, and prepare reporting if needed.

***

#### Internal review process

All grant requests are reviewed manually by the OCE team.\
If accepted, the funds are transferred directly to the nonprofit's official bank account, and the transaction is recorded transparently on the fund page.

For any questions about this feature, contact the finance or legal coordinator.
