# Treat each other with respect

The conduct expected in OCE activities and community spaces.

This code applies to people taking part in OCE activities, including collective members, partners, volunteers and event participants.

## What we ask of everyone

* Treat people with dignity and respect.
* Welcome different experiences and make room for participation.
* Communicate clearly and consider the impact of your words and actions.
* Collaborate in good faith and take responsibility when something goes wrong.
* Keep decisions and financial activity accountable while protecting personal information.

## Behaviour we do not accept

Harassment, discrimination, bullying, intimidation and deliberate disruption are not acceptable. This includes sexual harassment and exclusion based on personal characteristics or beliefs.

## Raise a concern

Email <oce@opencollective.com>, or use the [safeguarding contacts](/oceurope/about-1/safeguarding-policy.md) if the concern involves safety or harm. If the concern involves the person you would normally contact, choose another contact.

Reports are taken seriously and reviewed fairly. Depending on the circumstances, action may include a warning, exclusion from an event or removal from OCE activities.
