# Request a grant from a fund

For nonprofit organisations using an eligible fund’s grant process.

The **Request a Grant** option is used for eligible funds and nonprofit organisations. It is not a general way for an individual or informal collective to withdraw money.

## Check the route first

Confirm that the fund accepts this type of request and that your organisation is eligible. If you are an individual or an informal group, ask OCE which process applies to your situation.

## Prepare the documents

The published grant process asks for:

1. A copy of the organisation’s bylaws or registration documents.
2. A signed request stating the purpose, intended use of the grant, legal name and contact details.
3. A bank account holder statement for the nonprofit organisation.
4. Evidence of the representative’s identity and authority to act for the organisation.
5. The grant agreement.

For exceptional situations, please contact OCE before submitting the request. OCE may need further information for the particular fund or agreement. Use the private document fields, not the public description, for personal and banking information.

## Review and payment

OCE reviews the request manually. If accepted and ready for payment, it is paid to the nonprofit’s verified account and recorded on the fund page.
